WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE COUNTRY SO FAR?
I've been traveling around the world and seen many places. I can't name just one country, but I'd probably go with the poorer country. The bigger the difference to my home country, the more interesting are my experiences.
WHAT PLACE IS TOP OF YOUR BUCKET LIST?
Too many I think I'm up for some hiking next, maybe Tibet, Nepal, or Scotland
WHAT CAN'T YOU TRAVEL WITHOUT?
An open mind and a big smile in my face, everything else is worthless...although a lot of things help
DO YOU PREFER SOLO TRAVEL OR WITH SOMEONE ELSE?
I prefer start traveling alone. My experience so far is, that you are never alone, but meet new friends along the way. By traveling alone, you're very flexible and can just go on for some days with new friends, without asking anybody.
WHO IS THE PERSON AT HOME THAT YOU MISS THE MOST?
Family and friends. But to be honest, traveling is so much fun, I'm never really homesick.
WHICH COUNTRY HAS THE MOST FRIENDLIEST PEOPLE?
If met a ton of very nice and helpful people. But again, usually people who have less, give you their last shirt. I think those experiences change myself and ever since I try to help others even more.
WHO IS THE MOST INTERESTING PERSON YOU'VE MET SO FAR?
I once met a guy in the world's largest salt flat in Bolivia. He was traveling continuously for 12 years at only 38 years of age...and he didn't plan on stopping any time soon. Wow, I wish I could do that.
WHAT'S BEEN YOUR SCARIEST MOMENT?
I was river rafting in Colombia and fell out of the boat. I ended up staying out of the boat for about 4 km, due to the strong current. I had no chance against the current and almost died. But hey: no risk no fun ?
WHAT IS YOUR MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT?
Hmm...not a big one, but lots of small ones due to language barriers. I try to speak the local language as much as possible. Sometimes I think it works, but end up saying really stupid things. Sometimes everybody around laughs, sometimes they get mad and sometimes it's pretty embarrassing
TRAVELING brings us love, joy, it changes our beliefs and perceptions in life. It can make us better and stronger people. Through TRAVELING we learn to love, to forgive. to broaden our horizons. The best part of TRAVELING is to meet people along the way with whom we share stories, with whom we become friends, for that moment and possibly forever.
